If the sun was cold, we would have no reason to arise. It's like a beacon, an encouragement, assurance that beauty exists even in the most bleak of places.
Kimberly: I hope the rain has let up a little. I'm hearing about that on the news, I hope everything is okay!
C: thank you dear! :)
Kate: Thank you, its the my room at my fathers house. It faces the backyard, so much light comes through the window in the morning! Its so nice.
Mckenzie: That is very true. And actually explains how I feel about the sun very well. I think what I was talking about in this photo was the different ways the sun can feel depending on where you are in the world. When I lived in Pennsylvania the sun always felt muted during the winter, whereas the sun in the south (where I am from) feels warm and intense all year long. I missed that warmth when I lived up north. :)
Niki: Thank you!
Jeanne: yes, I like them too! The dresser was my grandmother's so its sentimental.
"She loved to walk down the street with a book under her arm. It had the same significance for her as an elegant cane for the dandy a century ago. It differentiated her from others." - Kundera
"For a moment she discovered the purpose of her life. She was here on earth to grasp the meaning of its wild enchantment and to call each thing by its right name, or, if this were not within her power, to give birth out of love for life to successors who would do it in her place." - Pasternak

i'm a bit jealous. It's been raining in SoCal since Friday, feels rather unusual, I'm forced to relax.
