Grandparents

Photos of my grandparents. I find them so beautiful. My grandmother is Choctaw Indian and has the most amazing dark skin and deep eyes. As a child, I have vivid memories of her tanning on the back porch as I played on my tricycle. To this day my grandparents are two of the most amazing people I know.
How was your New Years Eve? Mine was spent with the flu, huddled in the bathroom with my family's very frightened and large German Shepard mutt, as tornado warnings sounded and funnel clouds moved over head. Thankfully, our house was spared but others were not so lucky. I guess 2010 wasn't going down without a fight.

There is something so beautiful about old photographs. These are amazing, and I absolutely adore the last one.

I love how you said 2010 wouldn't go down without a fight (I still can not believe it's 2011). I hope you're feeling better! Oh, and that fact that you're sad about missing the blizzard this year isn't silly at all.

These photographs are awesome! I love looking through my grandma's black and white photos of her youth, it seems like such a different time.

Bummer about your New Years. Hopefully you won't be sick next year! Mine was excellent: lots of friends and drinks and dancing to 90's music at my favorite local bar.

These are beautiful. Looking through old family photos is so incredible, and so surreal...I remember seeing some of my great-grandparents party shots for the firs time a while ago, and it just seemed so shocking to see them do things so similar to what I do now...

Your grandmother's skin is beautiful - it looks like velvet.

your grandparents are very beautiful, i love looking at old pictures - they're special in some way that can't be found today (so it seems).

I spent my new year at home with parents and grandma and brother, watching different live performances on dvds haha. Wasn't so bad :)

tornadoes.. that's crazy! I'm glad you and your family are fine.
