moving on...

Well, another change has come to my life....
For the past six months I have been living in New York City for my Internship. It's been a wonderful and exciting experience but now it's over and school starts back up in a week in Philadelphia. I'm not going to feel too nostalgic about my apartment in Brooklyn because it was crowded, and expensive. But I'll miss my roommate's cat, and of course, I'll miss the city.

The last week has been a little crazy, though... ha ha. With having to pack comes procrastination and with that you suddenly realize that you haven't seen everything you wanted too, before you leave. We went to the Museum of Natural History, several smaller museums, the Moth, several Art Shows, and ate like crazy at amazing restaurants. It became a little obsessive. ha ha! :D




I'm going to miss New York but I'm excited to move into my friends apartment in Philly. It's near campus, it's old, and I actually have a real bed!!!! I was sleeping on an air mattress in New York. I even did a photo shoot in the apartment last year...



I can't wait to start some of my project's for class. I've had six months to come up with some cool ideas and I'm about to go crazy if I don't get a Hasselblad in my hand. I'm even starting my projects early, during spring break. I'm not going to say what the projects are, because I'm extremely superstitious, but oh, I'm excited!

I hate moving out, but there's something wonderful about moving into a new apartment... its like breathing fresh air.

metropolitan museum art

I've lived in New York for a while now and I still haven't done all that I've wanted to do. Now, that I'm moving away in a few weeks, I'm rushing to do them all!
I'm a determined girl on a mission!
So last weekend I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a few of my friends. I've been before and every time in the past I would watch the artists that hang out in the sculpture room sketching, secretly wishing I could do the same! So that's what we did! Oh, it was amazing! We went in the evening, since the Museum is opened till 9, and sat in the sculpture gallery with the dramatic night lighting and sketched till the Museum closed. I had the best time! Above are the results of that night!

I miss doing art. I've been feeling very unimaginative lately. I cant wait to start my classes next term because I finally get to take Painting, again!

I've started to dream about traveling again....
Oh oh, I want to go to Tokyo and eat Ramen at the Ramen shops and play Pachinko, even though its an old lady activity!!!
Two summers ago, I spent a month in Tokyo falling in love with everything about it. And now I am here, dreaming of going back.
Will it be the same?
Sometimes I think returning to a place the second time ruins the first experience... how sad is that?

but I still want to go.

I realized the other day that I haven't been communicating well. I tend not to express my feelings, and my opinions, anymore and I 'm not quite sure why. This is all actually really annoying and surprisingly hard to figure out!
