A week or two ago the weather turned especially chilly and we welcomed the first snow of the new year. Although I live in the city (Philadelphia to be exact), we are lucky to be close to a large National Park only 45 minutes away by car. City snow is just not as pretty as snow in the forest so we drove out one afternoon and trudged around until our feet were numb from the cold. 

1) Me, with a pitiful look because I was so cold. :/ 2) View of Valley Forge along with two souls brave enough to go jogging. 3) A boarded up bathroom on the outskirts of the forest. 4)Deer tracks in front of the cabin.
